10 Best Apps to Sell Your Used Stuff
Want to organize your house and earn extra money? There is a lot of Apps to Sell Your Used Stuff. We’ve rounded up our favorite apps for selling items online, from popular auction sites to apps that let you virtually sell to your neighbors, and even fashionistas to uninstall designers who don’t want apps designed. Read on to find out which apps to download the next time you want to sell something so you can keep some extra cash in your pocket.
Letgo
Most sales apps charge a fee for each successful transaction. If you want to avoid sales fees and meet local buyers, Letgo is the place for you. It just gives you a platform to advertise your products and chat with buyers, after which you can sell directly to them.
App available on Google Play and Apple Store
Nextdoor
Nextdoor is a community-specific social network that also has a “for sale and free” section. This is a great option for selling (and buying) items locally. To list items for sale, select the “Post Listing” button at the top right of the screen, then select the “On Sale & Free” section. Then you fill in information like price, description and photos. As with similar apps, it’s up to the buyer and seller to pick up and pay.
Another bonus? Your items for sale will appear in your neighbor’s news feed, even if they are not specifically looking for items for sale. Items for sale will appear alongside closed roads, community events, and more. That said, there is a search option that allows you to narrow your results to only sale or free items.
App available on Google Play and Apple Store
OfferUp
OfferUp is an app that rewards returning customers for a great customer experience. Both buyers and sellers can leave feedback for specific offers.
OfferUp’s feedback feature is very helpful in making sure you don’t get scammed. For added security, you can also link your Facebook account to prove your identity.
OfferUp is like a local version of eBay. You can add items to watchlists, use in-app chat to ask sellers questions, and make counter-offers.
This app is free to use. Buyers can search listings by category or proximity by entering a zip code or city.
OfferUp and Letgo are now the same app. If you are a former member of Letgo, you can buy and sell locally using OfferUp and its security-focused community hangouts.
App available on Google Play and Apple Store
Decluttr
Finding local buyers interested in your used items can be difficult. Wouldn’t it be better if a service could buy you the things you used and let you clean your house?
This is exactly what the aptly named Decluttr is all about. Instead of posting classified ads for local sales, you scan electronic barcodes for instant quotes. Prepaid shipping labels help get items out of your hands, and you can get paid through the app, simple as that.

Poshmark
When you think of used items, things like video games or old electronics often come to mind. However, the things that have a higher resale value and that you can sell faster are clothes. Keeping up with the latest fashion trends can create a bunch of underused clothes and bags that you can sell at Poshmark for extra cash.
Like Decluttr, Poshmark offers prepaid shipping labels to help you ship products to buyers and process payments. After deducting the listing fee from the sale, Poshmark transfers the money to you via check or direct deposit into your bank account.
App available on Google Play and Apple Store
Meta Marketplace
Another community-focused sales app, Meta Marketplace provides a great opportunity to offload things you don’t need and earn some extra cash.
Meta Marketplace has very little structure in terms of selling apps. Like many apps, the items on sale are tailored to your geographic location. However, once you’ve submitted photos of items for sale and found potential buyers, it’s up to you to submit and pay. It’s still a solid sell for everyone at Meta and their moms (literally).
Another positive? You do not need to download a new app to access the Meta Marketplace as it is accessible through the Meta app.
App available on Google Play and Apple Store
Dealo
The Dealo app allows you to download, register, list or buy in less than 30 seconds!
This app is a little simpler than Craigslist, but very similar in that buyers can contact you via phone or email.
Many other apps only allow in-app chat communication. Chat-only apps protect your privacy as much as possible until you book a party.
App available on Google Play and Apple Store
Bookoo
Bookoo is a family app with boards in most states and even some US states. Military bases around the world.
This app is part category, part social media platform. Sellers and buyers can create profiles and make friends with other users. Before meeting with buyers, you can build a certain level of trust with them.
The inability to “see” a buyer before a sale is one of the reasons some sellers avoid Craigslist.
Your profile also lists other products you have listed. This makes it easier for buyers who want to buy more than one item to make additional sales.
